Not redirected, but every so often I get an error and the page doesn't load.

Just now coming to the forum I got some popup asking me to "download update software" which I did not do......it was real tricky too with several popups and it directed me away to another site.

I was redirected yesterday, and again this morning. It seems to only happen to me once per day - once I refuse to update the software, it doesn't pop up again.
Also it's only happening to me at work, not at home. I'm running Chrome on both but I have no idea what version.

Wow.  Thanks for the heads up.  Haven't experienced something like that...yet.  So, I've only had an occasion where the page would fail to load.  But it usually clears up within an hour and doesn't happen that often.

Okay, i just got redirected. Interestingly, it was at work, so I wasn't logged into the site (I am permanently logged in at home). This may be why I haven't seen it before.

I wasn't logged in either, for some reason mine will not stay logged in the past few months.

I had that problem too for a while, had to log in every time I came to the site.  Resolved on its own a couple of months ago...

Got it too. When I clicked on the "show unread posts since last visit" go redirected to download some Download Manager program. I would "cancel" but it happened again on that link. So next, I just cancelled and this time clicked on a few other links and then on the "show unread posts" and this time it took me here.

Those hacker spammers malware folks are really bad and get smarter and more sophisticated. I'm on a MacBook Pro at work so I'm less vulnerable but my HP laptop at home, I get a lot of this crap. Just yesterday was dealing with the Taplika virus.

Anyways, be careful, don't download the program obviously!

Ooh, good point! I have a Mac at home but use a PC at work. Maybe this redirect is only for PC.

Scan your computers for malware and let me know what if anything was found You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login is a good program to use, and they have a free edition.

If it's not a bug on you're computers, then it's very possible that the site or DNS servers are getting attacked or exploited. A redirect of just certain threads tells me it is more likely the site though. If the domain registrar got hacked, an attacker can change the DNS servers to ones that they control, and then for anyone coming to this site to go through a proxy (man in the middle). They could grab all our passwords, make changes to the site, we wouldn't even know.

A good way to prevent this is to buy an SSL certificate for You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, and switch everyone over to using httpS:// instead of http://.

Anyways, still learning about this security stuff so I might be wrong about some of this.

I will update flash, but I had this happen on two separate computers. It's also the redirect to the same site as everyone else and its only ever happened on this site. Which makes me kinda doubt it being malware on our machines.
