I have to say I wish they'd never started giving Pops. I feel like that's when the lines went from bad-but-bearable to overwhelming. And since I don't like Pops myself it's extra annoying.

"HBO is putting together an immersive experience that will take fans through touchpoints based on the worlds of Game of Thrones. Upon entering the “winterized” entrance, fans will be registered with their own Dragonglass RFID wristband that will capture each touch point of a fan’s journey throughout the activation, producing individual links with ready-to-be-shared pieces of content. The journey will take fans through Winterfell, Dragonstone, King’s Landing and North of the Wall. Every guest that goes through the experience will be given a custom SDCC Night King Funko Pop! Figure, a t-shirt featuring the Night King key art and an exclusive Robert Ball Episode 701 mini-poster."

I have to say I wish they'd never started giving Pops. I feel like that's when the lines went from bad-but-bearable to overwhelming. And since I don't like Pops myself it's extra annoying.

And last year the Pops were common. With it being an exclusive Pop, the lines will be longer.

When I went in 2014 I was in line for maybe 5 hours and it was not worth it then, but that's probably because I'd seen all the costumes and everything at the exhibition earlier that year. The t-shirt was pretty cool, but I wasted my entire Sunday in the line.

So it seems that wait time for the line this year may actually be longer than the entire airing of season 7. ???

Am I right to assume that the line for this only gets worse as the week progresses? I might try lining up for this on Thursday.

In the past, that has been true. (At least it was in 2014.)

The experience sounds fun. Would do it sans swag if I meant I wouldn't wait as long.

Shame. My favorite GoT offsite experience was 2 years ago with the dragon fire gif and wooden sword swinging.

Newest graphic says badge holders only, but we shall see if that is actually enforced.

Hasn't it always been badge holders only?

It has. They even have a sign at the entrance saying so but they never enforce it.

Every year I walked by that massive line, I don't recall seeing anyone that didn't have a badge hanging from their necks. I take it people have gotten in without a badge?
