If anything, if this goes through, it's one less line to wait in at SDCC :)

It might, because sometimes anytime a merger happens jobs are lost and depend on who in charge or boss of the 1 company might wanna change things for any reason. stuff even might stay the same but just be cutbacks somewhere somehow later to any department inisde the company. too much to speculate or guess so just gotta see how it all plays out. hope for the best and not too much change.

Depends on what changes they make, it may be a chain reaction to how or what they do at any con they have or attend now and future. they will gain sales or loose any for any changes the fans dont like now and forever by chance.

nothing happening yet, and according to the article Hasbro has in the past made offers to buy Mattel, but who knows. maybe they buy Mattel but keep them as separate entities

Honestly Mattel's SDCC offerings over the last 2 years has been horrific! Now while Hasbro's line-up at SDCC has been a home run either these last 2 years it's been way way better than Mattel so I'd welcome Hasbro buying them out and offering a higher quality uniform line vs low quality quantity.

Mattel Inc has rebuffed Hasbro Inc’s latest takeover approach, people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday, casting uncertainty over the potential combination of the world’s two largest toy companies. Mattel’s rebuttal indicates that Margaret Georgiadis, who took over as the company’s chief executive in February, is seeking to drive a hard bargain in negotiations with Hasbro, even though Mattel’s stock has significantly underperformed that of Hasbro in the last year. Mattel has informed Hasbro its proposal undervalues the company and does not take sufficiently into account the potential for regulators to reject the deal based on antitrust concerns, the sources said. The terms Hasbro has proposed could not be learned, and it is not clear whether negotiations between the two companies will continue. The companies have engaged in multiple rounds of deal talks over the last two decades.
