Fan verification reopens on June 13, as per the auto-response to my press application. Also it looks like they're doing another pre-sale for those who had previous FV accounts.

Does it feel like NYCC has fewer exclusives than SDCC or am I crazy?

I feel like they usually have fewer exclusives but then I don't really buy exclusives so I've never paid too close attention.

They usually do.  The big items typically are the funkos, lego, and the Hallmark exclusives that are found in SDCC.

The things for me have always been the reedpop apparel.  I have a star trek cardigan I wear to work and I bought some GoT shirts for my mom.

One thing it doesn't say in the FAQ is WHO can enter the lotteries. Is is just fan-verified attendees? What about Press, pros, exhibitors, volunteers, etc.?

When press and pros applied for our badges, we were told that we weren't eligible for the pre-show lotteries. (Now we are eligible for panels - at least press is.) I imagine it was similar for exhibitors and volunteers (i.e. they were notified when they applied). It seems like this year they are really emphasizing that this is for paying attendees. Which is complete bs.

The only day it's really gonna be an issue for me is Sunday, because I'm starting Saturday at MSG with Good Omens, but yeah. I feel like the MTA does this on purpose - expands the line to the convention center, but always closes it the weekend of the biggest convention of the year.
