Pre-convention must see San Diego attractions?
« on: December 22, 2018, 08:37:38 PM »
We are looking to come a few days early this year and enjoy the rest of San Diego. Any tips on must see attractions? Any thoughts on the Zoo vs Sea-world? Thanks  :)

My friends and I went to the MGH's rooftop cinema screening of Black Panther on Tuesday night before Comic Con last year and it was an awesome experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Old Town is fun, and Balboa Park has a ton of great museums.

The San Diego Zoo is always fun, and also touring the USS Midway Museum if your interested in US Naval ships and planes.
If you like being on the water, you may want to look into taking a harbor cruise.

If you have a car, a visit to La Jolla is lots of fun.

There's the Birch Aquarium You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login,
Torrey Pines Gliderport for lunch and to watch the gliders You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login,
hiking at Torrey Pines State Park You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login,
and of course La Jolla Cove and the sea lions You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

I LOVE the SD Zoo and recommend it over Sea World.

The zoo is great.  Sea World not so much (in my opinion).  The company that runs Sea World isn't the most ethical when it comes to the treatment of their animals, so I have problems recommending it to people.  On the other hand, the zoo has a great reputation for care and is much more fun.

Thank you all I appreciate it  :) Yeah I might be having to choose between sea world and the zoo and so far we are favouring the zoo.
