2019 SDCC Mondo (and Mondo adjacent) Exclusives
« on: March 12, 2019, 06:03:10 PM »
Hey all!

I thought I'd give it a go and help organize the Mondo thread for this year. I'll also keep a close eye on artists who work with Mondo (or are part of the pop-art subculture) and update as necessary!

No confirmation of any sort, but I think this could be our first peak at a poster offering for this year!

I can't imagine ever spending a lot of time a mondos SDCC booth again.  They typically have 2 prints that are hard to get, and if you want one of those 2 yeah get there early on the day of their release.  But almost everything else they have released the last few years you could get at cost or cheaper within a few months.
Looking at last years releases the only ones that sell for more than cost are Marvel Ferguson, Man Who Fell to Earth, and the Kurtz.

yeah but it's the only thing left to stand in line for.... what's a sdcc without standing in one hugeAssStupid line ? LOL
I don't do funko or Hasbro -- and am reluctant to do HallH. And waiting in line for a restraunt doesn't count

Fair enough....I avoid lines whenever I can!
Less time in lines equals more time for panels or exploring.

I stood in line a couple of times for different Mondo things last year and didn’t mind it. Got lucky one time that I didn’t have to do the auxiliary wrap around the back wall portions of the line. Getting them at the booth you can usually get them signed or they are signed when you get there. I’m sure I’ll be there again this year lol. I don’t have a Saturday badge unfortunately so that means I definitely don’t have to worry about hall h camping for the first time in a few years.
Fun isn’t something one considers when preparing for Comic-Con, but attending does put a smile on my face

The shape of water stayed up in cost. Can’t remember the artist there

Daniel Danger made that print. It cost $75 at sdcc, you can buy it for $54 shipped on eBay right now.

Searching eBay and stuff I only saw a couple of listings for the posters I got last year at the booth and they’re showing double the price I paid. Everyone experiences and enjoys different things. I like to do a little bit of everything and some years it’s camping out for hall h, some years it’s shopping based, etc.  Some people love spending lots of time getting to offsites and I’ve not found a huge need to do so. That’s the beauty there’s something for everyone
