Still have not received my order. Called Mattel 2 weeks ago and again today... said the same thing... order is processing. Rep make no attempt to find out order status, just gave me generic answers.

I was wondering if there is a way to tell which Mariokart, gold or silver, is in the box without opening it?
X-Ray vision! You don't have that?  ;)

My order continues to make its slow way across the US. Left Jonestown, PA on the 21st, supposed to arrive on the 31st.

I finally just caved and opened my two Mariokarts.

I just looked at it this way. If I ever resell, the collector will pay substantially more if it’s a gold and only a little bit less if silver (vs unopened).

Happened to get one Gold and one Silver!

Congrats.  I was wondering if I sold the box sealed, would it be worth more just on the potential of being a gold?
Just like how an unopened pack of baseball cards is worth more than the cards that are in the pack.
Maybe I'll just weigh them and see if there is a difference. I mean doesn't gold weigh more than silver? ;D

You know, if the light bulb was on in my head when I read this in September, then I totally could have weighed them to see if there was in fact a difference.

Doh!
