Maybe they escaped from Spain?

dressing up in costume makes a lot of sense, it's almost like a hazmat suit

So what you're saying is hazmat suits will be the most popular cosplay once conventions start up again.

So, my attempt at making art during my extended WFH time is to wear every (printed) t-shirt in my drawer, take a snapshot, write 100 words or so about it, add a sentence about "Today in isolation", and work on making it into a zine that I'll print when it's all finished. Will it be 24 pages (shirts) or 48 pages (shirts)? What happens if I run out of shirts (I've counted about 50 or so)?? Do I dive into the box of shirts I've been hauling around saying "I'm gonna get a quilt made out of these someday"?

Here is a story about the standard of care in South Korea.  Note not only the care the patient gets, but the protections the healthcare workers get.  It's a far cry from using a bandana or a scarf as per CDC recommendations.

A Twitter thread about asking for fee waivers,  specifically say COVID19/Coronavirus when asking for bill extensions.

This is 100% true! I work for a bank and worked for different call centers, you HAVE to state that you’ve been affected by COVID-19!

Also, just as a rule of thumb, when you call any place you NEED to ask for fees to be waived, for extensions, payment arrangements, etc. Don’t just expect them to give you options or even offer when you are calling in. A lot of us want to but can’t, unless you specifically ask!

So many people call in about late fees/returned check fees, other charges etc. but never ask for them to be waived! I try to waive as much as I can, especially for PoC, but technically were not supposed to unless you ask.

If the company you are calling offers you a one month extension, you ask for two or three months! Don’t be afraid to ask for more. Now of course sometimes representatives really can’t do more for you, so also don’t be an a**h***.

Also as a reminder please be patient and nice to representatives taking your calls at this time! Many people working at call centers are working in unsafe environments next to like 70 people in one space and are dealing with high volume of calls daily on top of that.

I have customers call in like “I don’t have a job cause of the situation right now.” I obviously know they are referring to COVID19 but I can’t say s**t so I try to get them to say it and I’m like “what situation, sir?” lmaoooo and they think I have no idea what’s going on.

This is so relatable. I have managed to get my 10,000 steps/day back in this week (last week, not so much).

I think I mentioned this in another thread, but when I told my manager I was having difficulty adjusting to working from home, he suggested I try something that resonated with me: in the morning, dress as if you're going to work. And doing just that little thing has made a difference to me. Not a huge difference -- there's still a ton of distractions at home -- but I do feel I'm more productive in my work clothes than my PJs.
