You can make baking powder with baking soda and cream of tartar.

I accidentally bought pizza yeast instead of normal yeast so tonight was pizza night!

Speaking of cooking, I try and use this as an out line when I go to the store.

It looks like I'm going to have to go out towards the end of this week. Just as an fyi, I'm thawing my first round of frozen milk today. I'll report back on how it survived tomorrow.

Milk freezes great.  I get gallon jugs because they are cheaper even though there's no way I can drink that much before it goes bad.  So I freeze it.  Make sure you wait for all of it to melt and then mix it all back together.  It separates.

For emergencies like this, I stash away evaporated milk.  I has a long shelf life and after being rehydrated, it's much better than powdered milk.

I have powdered milk, which tastes nasty, but it's really useful for baking/cooking. For drinking, I have a bunch of Horizon Organic shelf-stable milk. It can be stored in the pantry and only needs to be cooled for taste.

I made Korean Corn Cheese today.  They usually serve it as a side in a Korean BBQs.  It’s a simple and great quarantine dish.  Just need corn kernels, (canned, frozen, fresh...), onions, cheese and mayo. I didn’t add sugar as the corn I got was sweet enough and I used sriracha mayo because I didn’t have peppers.

I'm a boba tea addict.  I haven't been able to get it for weeks now.  Today the ingredients I ordered got out of the 7 day quarantine.  I just mixed up my first batch.  It's as good as some I've gotten in restaurants but not as good as from the big boba tea chains.  I'll have to experiment with it.  The mix I got didn't come with any instructions so I had to play it by ear.

My husband cooked a turkey today. I know most people do ham or lamb, but he figured we could use the extra meat for a while. It was delicious!

One of the local boba places here now sells boba milk tea by the jug. It would be tempting, but tapioca balls get stale really quickly.

yummy

I've started making waffles on occasion. French toast sounds good.

i picked up grocerys on Saturday so have loads of fresh veg. ;) I've enjoyed Kashi flavored shredded wheat cereal. I hadn't had it before but it's on sale. The chocolate is decent as is the vanilla flavored cereal.

I'm going to try a tiny chicken (rock cornish game hen) in the air fryer tonight. I put spices & butter under the skin when i roast it- i think i'll try just spices no butter in the air fryer. Anyone tried this before?

i made up a load of my pasta sauce.
Fry ground beef, chopped onions, garlic,
add green peppers & mushroom till cooked
add a lg can of diced tomatos & a jar of Prego chunky garden spagetti sauce
simmer & adjust seasoning.
