What I found most interesting about the article was 1) The very high salaries for the top of a non-profit organization, albeit it may not be unusual if compared to other non-profit organization of this size, I don't know what is standard for that and 2) The potential conflict of interest identified in the article to have one's daughter be hired and get a $170,000 salary.

Edit: And to look at #3, 2020 (which turned out to be a pandemic year i.e. no in person convention) the salary cost jumped from 6,231,956. from 2,708,409? Doesn't look good, especially if they had to market the CC name to make money for this and in turn lose their non-profit status from that. On the other hand, if this is just being treated like a for-profit business, then maybe that should be brought out into the open and run like any for profit expo.
