ECCC 2023: March 2-5, 2023

Looks like they have upped the programming game this year, at least on the main stage:

Friday - David Tennant, Scream reunion, Clone Wars reunion
Saturday - Our Flag Means Death, Twisted Toonz, Buffy reunion
Sunday - Mandalorian, Twin Peaks reunion

Looking good....

I'm happy to see that they have multi-guest panels for all of these properties. It's also a good sign that they have the schedule up over a month in advance.

Another panel that caught my eye is "Bringing “Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities” to Life through VFX", which features staff from the actual studio who worked on the series. Too bad it's at the same time as Twisted Toonz, but better to have to make choices than have no choices.

The exhibitor list is also up. Hopefully they're still working on adding some more, because other than Bluefin/Tamashii I don't see too many of the big names from previous years (i.e. Funko, Tokidoki, BAIT, Hallmark/Popminded)

I remember that he was scheduled for the 2020 show before it got pulled.

I like that ECCC always releases the panel schedule early, but the negative to that it is that it usually changes many times before the con.

…and bumped again the day of the con, to Sunday at 3:30! This panel would make a great endcap, so fingers crossed it doesn’t move again.

That one (along with Twisted Toonz) has never appeared on the app for me and still doesn’t, although it does show up on their website.

Twisted Toonz still isn’t showing up on the Main Stage schedule for me. There’s a gap between Our Flag Means Death and Buffy. But I just did I used the search feature and it showed up.
