I checked the San Diego Blood Bank site directly and the Comic-Con drive is listed now... but only for Wednesday 7/19. I'm assuming they're in the process of updating right now so hopefully the other days will be available to schedule soon!

Glad they're allowing donations before the convention again! Loved doing this last year at a donor center on the Monday before SDCC and then getting a certificate to redeem on-site.

I usually make an appointment to donate, but am having a hard time committing to a day and time. For anyone that's ever donated as a walk-in, did you have to wait very long before they started to process you?

If you are able to make it there on Wednesday morning, I've been late to an appointment (so I considered myself a walk-in) and probably was in and out in ~75 minutes (from checking in to leaving the post-donation canteen era). They have a ton of stations and the location isn't the most convenient, so the processing is pretty quick.

Be prepared for them to ask about doing red blood cell donation vs normal donation. It takes twice as long but you do get two t-shirts vs one

You should be ok, might be a little bit slower but when I've gone Wed or Thurs, they appear to have room to accept walk ins no problem.
