Just got an email:


Registration for Round One of Comic-Con 2024 Daily Volunteer Registration will open at 10:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on September 26, 2023.

Round One is for returning daily volunteers only: those who completed at least one volunteer assignment for Comic-Con 2023 or who were pre-approved by the Daily Volunteer Department. Returning volunteers are guaranteed a place in the Daily Volunteer Program if they meet the requirements and register during Round One.

I think this email is only sent to returning daily volunteers or pre-approved volunteers who would be eligible to register in the first round.

Comic-Con 2024 Daily Volunteer Registration Timeline

Everyone who wishes to volunteer for Comic-Con must have a Comic-Con Member ID account. If you do not have a Member ID, please visit our Member ID Portal to create one. Be sure to opt in to our marketing emails to receive notifications regarding the Comic-Con Daily Volunteer Program.

Daily Volunteer Registration Timeline

Round One: Comic-Con 2024 Daily Volunteer Registration – Round One is only for those who completed at least one assignment as a daily volunteer for Comic-Con 2023 or who were pre-approved by the Daily Volunteer Department. Those who are eligible for Round One will receive an email with details on the process and are guaranteed to get into the program if they register in Round One. Returning daily volunteers will have a second chance to register when we open Round Two of Daily Volunteer Registration, but it will not be guaranteed. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis until the program is full.

Interest List Signups: The Comic-Con 2024 Daily Volunteer Interest List opens to the public for signups at 10:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on October 11, 2023. It will remain open until 11:59 PM PDT on October 25, 2023. Log in to your Comic-Con Member ID, click on “Daily Volunteers” on the top menu and then select the “Comic-Con 2024 Daily Volunteer Interest List” from the menu dropdown. There is no guarantee that getting on the Interest List will admit you to the volunteer program as registrations in Round Two will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Returning daily volunteers who want to register during Round Two should NOT sign up for the Interest List.

Round Two: After the Daily Volunteer Interest List signups close, Comic-Con 2024 Daily Volunteer Registration - Round Two will open for those on the Interest List and any returning daily volunteers who did not register in Round One. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and will remain open until the program’s capacity has been reached.

Although it seems early, looking back--last year Returning Volunteer Registration began on September 27...so right on time. Maybe I am feeling it because my budget is a bit behind schedule this go round.  I better get to number crunching! $$

I volunteered in 2022. I ended up not volunteering in 2023 but was pre-approved. I didn't get any notice.
