Emerald City

NCDS wrote a nice article on her impression of Emerald City for the blog. Check it out! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

What are your thoughts?

My impression - Visually nice and interesting take on the story of Oz. I need a few episodes to figure out the path the writers want to take with it.

I think it's started very slowly but I'm curious so I'm still watching.

My podcast co-hosts have seen the entire season, thanks to NBC for giving us access to the press screeners, and they really enjoyed it. They said you do need to be patient to let the story play out a bit.

Thanks Kevin for giving us input from someone who has watched the entire thing.  Luckily I'm the type of person to be patient with things but with so much out there I think a lot of people aren't.

I felt the same way about Incorporated. It wasn't quite what I expected at first, and it took me a few episodes to wrap my mind around it. But I was lucky enough to see 5 episodes together, which allowed me to adjust my viewpoint and get into the show.

Nowadays with SO many entertaining shows available shows really have to grab you early on or lots of folks give up.  Very honestly if my podcast co-hosts who've seen the entire season hadn't told me that it's worth the time I might have given up as well since it's been so slow moving.  I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it grabs me.

I watched it tonight and while I did find it a bit slow, the visual are gorgeous. (I love most of Tarsem's work, so I wasn't exactly surprised). So I will definitely be keeping up with it  :).
