That's really wild. Here my nerves were getting the better of me, thinking that I wouldn't have a chance to get in with what I assume will be a pretty in demand year, and here we are next day and everything is still open. Wild. It's a bummer you can't sign up even if you aren't on the interest list, I'd get a few friends of mine to do it and go for free, but oh well.

Last year it took a while to close also, maybe a week or so BUT in '16 & before it filled within a min or 2-- it's really hard to gage hence suggesting folks sign up asap when it opens. I think the slowness is a direct result of the 'interest list' process.  it requires long term planing- and may produce a better quality of volunteer (show up, stay for the entire shift etc)

Plus the $7.50 Handling fee.

So, $24.50/hour

I agree in general that it's hard to gauge, but it was actually '15 & before when it filled up within a min or 2. Here is the times it took to fill up the last few years:

<2016: minutes
2016: 2 hours
2017: 4 days
2018: 14 days
2019: ?? (So far, 1+ days)

That’s super weird that it’s still letting people in. When my fiancé tries to get into the volunteer screen, it says it’s full, and has been saying that to her since yesterday morning :/ We tried again and same thing.

Here's the text for those who missed the September Interest List sign up (below)

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

If your fiancé signed up for the Interest List in September and didn't see a recent email to register or see a green checkmark in Member ID, you may want to contact CCI via the contact form.

I emailed them and you will not get a refund if you volunteer and got a 4 days and preview night badge. Refunds are only on single day badges.

So if we have 4 day + PN, and we volunteer for 1 shift, are we able to get a refund on one of the dates that we initially paid?

Yes, but if you do it you'll also lose PN

I'm assuming since you need to have all four days to be able to get PN while buying badges during any of the registrations. If you no longer have all four days, therefore you wouldn't have PN.

"The Comic-Con 2019 badge refund deadline is May 13, 2019. After this date your Comic-Con badge purchase is non-refundable. All refunds are subject to a 10% processing fee.

To submit a refund request form, CLICK HERE. You must include your Comic-Con Member ID, first name, last name, email, and the day(s) you want refunded. Failure to include this information may delay your refund processing time."

Have you decided which day you'd like to remove from 4 day + Preview Night?

As @Loliitz mentioned, the current 5 days could be a badge for only 3 days, once you remove/refund one single day, which has to be either Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

I am not going to try for a refund. When I emailed them I asked if we got a 4day + PN, will we be able to get a refund for the date you volunteered, they said they will NOT REFUND part of a four day badge. They can only do single day badges. So I guess this won't help me out this year, but next year if you don't get 4 day passes then this would be the route to go by volunteering on the date you don't have a pass.
