Lol you are so lucky. I get either a high B or C number now a days when flying out of Chicago. I only get an A if I'm flying to not a major city. Majority of people are paying early bird.

Chicago is special.... ;)
it seems like it's always busy

I set an alarm for 10 mins. before the 24 hr. mark and just do it from the app. on my phone. But, I do fly to Comic-Con on Tuesday and fly back the following Wed. so maybe my flights aren't filled with Con people who are on those type of things.

The flight to SDCC is so short for me that I just don't care.  I set an alarm to hope for the best but I won't buy the early bird.   I messed up NYCC heading back this year but lucked out and got a window vs a middle so not bad.

Love that the day SW flights will be available is linked at the top! Thank-you!

You can normally never start too early when it comes to planning this, especially the farther you live away. Booking on the first day can save potienally save you $100 or more. One year, I was able to get a one way for $131 from Florida by booking it on the first day!

Also, the earlier you book the flight, the better your Early Bird position will be, so it pays to book on the first day the flights are available, if you know you will be traveling!

i dont' think so but iirc, it was on ET not PT so like 8am et?
i could be wrong tho- if you do check in the middle of the night & they're up let us know!

i seem to recall speaking with a CS rep at least 5 years ago about this. they said it went live in the morning- but 5 years is a long time in business.

I remember trying at midnight last year, ET, and they weren't available. Not sure if that means 3am on the dot ET, or later in the morning, however.

Did anyone get the e-mail about the domestic airline settlement? Southwest is included. Hopefully we get some vouchers. When Ticketmaster was sued I got a couple hundred dollars in concert vouchers.

Thanks! No actually I hadn't, but as soon I read your post I did a little digging. It turns out that I have flown Southwest twice during the time frame this class action covers.

The Settlements include all persons and entities:
That purchased air passenger transportation services for flights,
Within the United States and its territories and the District of Columbia,
From Defendants or any predecessor, subsidiary or affiliate thereof, including US Airways and Continental,
At any time between July 1, 2011 and December 20, 2017 for the Southwest Settlement, and
At any time between July 1, 2011 and June 14, 2018 for the American Settlement.

The Settlements do not include:
Governmental entities,
Defendants, any parent, subsidiary or affiliate thereof,
Defendants’ officers, directors, employees, and immediate families, and
Any judges or justices assigned to hear any aspect of this action.

Here's the link if anyone is interested in looking into it.

I also emailed them at [email protected] to ask if I was included in this suit.

I was hopeful, but I should've known buying this early for me really wouldn't matter. I'm coming from Baltimore and my round-trip flight would be $430.

They moved my only non-stop flight option from 11am (which it has been for the last 3 years) to 6am...

So I caved and brought my flights today as well. When I look back to when I purchased in January for SDCC 2018 they were a lot cheaper than the flights that I paid for today, especially the return flight.

Same here. I'm flying from SF and the price for the return flight is brutal but I didn't want to risk it.
